This modern design project was especially thought through to highlight the beautiful fashion collections and accessories from the multi-brand boutique. This modern design project in Beijing might be one of their’s trendiest designs yet!
Devoted to using multi-perspective and rational means to intervene in the development of the contemporary urban living environment, the renowned Archstudio wants to find the right balance between the connections of reality and nature, history and culture, creating a spatial environment that is full of the spirit of times and humanistic quality.
Playing with illusion for the Mirror Garden boutique in Beijing, Archstudio made the most of its site located in a traditional urban hutong. The new mirrored modern project can accommodate a variety of activities such as exhibitions, product selling, and dining, and is also available for activity venue rental.
Featuring 3,000 square feet across three levels, Archstudio incredible designers decided to enhance the space with a series of mirrored panels on walls and ceilings to not only seemingly enlarge the space but also add an element of playful disorientation. This way, the panels amplify the natural light in the design project coming in from the former house’s existing court-yard.
The main concept of this modern design by Archstudio is to build indoor-outdoor connections through mirrors and yards, so as to create an infinite field of vision in the limited space and turn the architecture into a “garden” featuring diversified scenes and experiences. A large area of the space is finished with mirrors, which produce multiple reflections of people, objects, furniture, and plants and generate an interactive relationship between the “real” and the “reflected”.
