All Eyes Were on The Design Events of Shanghai and Singapore – Design Shanghai and Design Week Singapore were two of the Best Events in March and they attracted attention to millions to these two locations, two of the Top Design Hubs in Asia.
Let’s start with Design Shanghai, Asia’s leading International Design Event. This year, Design Shanghai was, once again, one of the greatest Design Events in Asia! The aim of this Event was to gather the best of design, quality, and inspiration, as well as Asia’s most influential architects and interior designers. It hosted, once more, a wide selection from the world’s most established brands, talented local newcomers and many, many renowned galleries.
In the 2019 Edition, this fair had the presence of 400 of the top and leading international and home-grown design brands and galleries. They presented all of their exciting and innovative ideas through extensive product launches, bespoke installations, and exclusive networking events. The top attractions were definitely some incredible names of the Asian Design World, like Caspani, Vismara or Domus Aurea!
Another top Asian Design Event that was held this March in Asia was the famous Singapore Design Week. The annual SDW brings together a collection of local and international design activities. This event is still happening until the 17th of March 2019, and it is open to the design community, businesses, design students, public sector officers, and the general public. But unlike Design Shanghai, the SDW it’s not a Commercial Event, but rather a Design Art event. It focuses more on Art Instalments and Art Products, so don’t expect to find at this Design Week some of the biggest luxury brands of the planet!
Still, SDW is one of Asia’s premier design festivals for art lovers. The SDW champions design thought leadership by bringing together the design, business and public necessities and presenting them all to the latest innovation and solutions to build businesses, engage communities and enrich people’s lives through the passion of Art and Design. It is a hub where the best design talents and businesses from Singapore and Asia converge to be showcased to the world, but it’s also a platform where Singaporeans and visitors can experience the value of design through delightful activities.
This year, SDW promoted another incredible celebration of Art and Design! It was a huge success like the Design Shanghai event and we can’t wait for next year’s celebration!
