When a person is in China, you have to be open to new ideas, new design, new inspirations. This is one of the most incredible countries when it comes to bringing some of the latest technology, as well as interior, and outdoor design being parts that aren’t forgotten. Proof of that is “Barraco” – a bar which recently opened in Shangai!
Q&A Architecture Design Research was the enterprise who took care of this outstanding bar design. Fun fact: the materials used were recycled, which makes this bar’s look even more amazing! Aside from having a unique seating room bar design, the furniture placed at “Barraco” presents customers with swings as well as a changing table!

The fact that the design company used demolished buildings to create “Barraco” helped them to find the reusable materials. They used old doors, windows, and other objects to bring an informal look to this unique and colorful bar.
The tropical-inspired interior was obtained by using the wood and white gravel which were on the floor and walls as models to sustain the interior design project. Another way they used to bring more of the tropical touch to it was applying plants, lighting and the individual way of seating (we are talking of course about the swings!).
There is a door made of wood and glass which leads to another area. The plants that hang above a bright yellow door turned into a hanging table bring a special feature: behind it, are even more swings as well as a second bar area.
