Singapore-based Space Matrix Design Consultants is one of the largest and fastest-growing, multidisciplinary design firms in Asia. Everything began with Shagufta, the architect who started this small design firm in Singapore. Once word spread of Shagu’s unique ability to design successful places, clients asked her to open studios in other locations, and soon she was working across Asia from 12 different offices.

Seven years after founding Space Matrix Design Consultants, Shagu realized that she was spending so much time and energy managing the operation that she was losing touch with the two things she was most passionate about: interacting with clients and designing magnificent spaces.

Shagu found a brilliant, tech-savvy, entrepreneur to be the CEO: her husband Anurag. Together they set their sights on becoming THE go-to design firm throughout Asia.

Today, the firm has over 450 professionals. It is amongst the largest and most successful architectural design companies in Asia, with offices throughout India as well as in Australia,China, Thailand, and Vietnam. (In workplace design, the firm is number one in India, number two in Asia, and number nine in the world.)
