If you answered yes for the previous questions, here’s a perfect hotel option for you: Wanderlust Hotel, the futuristic Singapore Design Hotel.

Wanderlust means : (noun) \ˈwän-dər-ˌləst\ – an irresistibly strong desire or an impulse to travel far away and explore different places.

Located in Little India, a cultural section of town where Indian immigrants once settled, the Wanderlust’s shell once housed a school. The concept of the Wanderlust is a bit experimental — 29 rooms on four themes designed by award-winning Singapore design agencies.

The Lobby was created by Asylum and is themed “Industrial Glam: A juxtaposition of the surrounding’s setting and contemporary design.” The second level is “Eccentricity” by: phunk Studio where bright colors and neon are the focus, and a rainbow corridor leads you to an outdoor deck with a mosaic-tiled spa. The third level is the Design Milk — er — Black and White level by DP Architects and features pop art. And finally, Level Four is themed “Creature Comforts” by fFurious: “Get cozy with friendly monsters in each room that presents a different  vibe and be assured of a fantasy-filled experience.”

The Pantone are rooms that are designed in specific colors creating a rainbow of rooms:

There are three main types of rooms in the hotel: Pantone (and Pantone Deluxe), Mono (and Mono Deluxe), and Whimsical.

The Mono are inspired by paper and feature origami and pop art. The Mono Deluxe rooms includes a glass bathtub!

The Whimsical rooms are loft-style on various themes including “Bling,” “ASCII,” “Space,” “Tree,” and “Typewriter.”

The in-room amenities includes a complimentary mini bar (not including alcoholic beverages), Nespresso machine and toiletries from Keihl’s. There’s also a cute little unpretentious French restaurant on site called Cocotte.
